ATTENTION: I've decided to put the upgrade on hold due to a compatibility issue of our server environment with the latest CS installer package. CS 2008 now requires SQL Server 2005 as the backend DB but our database server currenlty has SQL Server 2000 installed on it. I'll resume the upgrade once I figure out when Telligent is releasing a patch to the schema compatibility issue. For now, we will continue to use the old version of CS while waiting for the said patch. If you have any questions about this process, please don't hesitate to post them on our forums and I'll answer them as soon as I can. Thanks for your patience and support guys! I'll let you know as soon as this is resolved. - Keith Rull

    MySQL question

I'm planning to study MySQL this summer for my blogs, I just like to ask if can I make a backup file of a database as a file so I can import it into another host?

    Thanks! ^^

Absolutely! You can use phpMyAdmin to import/export your database. Party!!! [<:o)]

    Re: MySQL question

Okay, so where can I get an installer of MySQL for WinXP/IIS 5.0? There are too many download links on the MySQL site, I want to know which is the right one. Thanks! :D

    Re: MySQL question

the windows (binary) version of MySQL...download that. it doesn't require IIS; just Windows (not sure if it works with NT 4 but surely it works with 2000 and newer)

Why don't you try those all-in-one packages, everything will be setup for you... Just a thought. :)

    Re: MySQL question

IIS is not a dependency for the Windows version of MySQL. Which means that a web application (whether on Apache for Windows or IIS) or a Windows application (e.g. Windows Forms, VB6 or MFC) should be able to access MySQL equally well.

plug: here's my blogsite URL (I don't know MySQL yet, so my blog data is stored on two-dimensional arrays for now) :)
