 Hi Guys,

I'll be creating an e-learning site for my friend. It's his thesis in MA studies. Can I do it in C#? If not please make a recommendation on the best / appropriate programming languages so I can start self studying it.

Thanks

HBK

Yes, you can do it in C# via ASP.NET.

The technology to use is not really the issue but your comfort level on the technology. I preffer building apps on .NET since I'm a .NET developer but you could choose any language that supports building webapps (PHP, JSP, Ruby On Rails, CFM, legacy ASP).

You can start by looking at existing e-learning applications or sample applications that embodies what you want to build. I suggest looking at the starter kits in the ASP.NET website if you want to go that route. You can also checkout sourcforge.net for applications that might closely resemble what you want to build.

Thanks, Keithrull

I'll be taking your suggestion in ASP.net and sourceforge.net.
