Emerson Process Management is looking for a Senior .Net Developer with a strong .Net Framework development experience. The developer will work with Wireless Technologies of Emerson.

Requirements

• BS/MS degree in Engineering or CS
• At least five (5) years of software development work experience of which three (3) or more years are of Windows based software
• Experience in a full SDLC project including writing Requirements Documents, Design Documents (UML knowledge a must), and Unit Test Plans
• Detailed knowledge of application development targeted for Windows XP
• Extensive software development experience using .Net Framework (C#/VB.Net), COM, and SQL Server with development experience in distributed (client/server) software systems: DCOM, .Net Remoting, Web Services
• With experience in Object Oriented software development; MFC/C++ experience a plus; Xaml/WPF experience a plus
• With experience in Source Safe or other code control software
• Familiarity with OPC a plus
• Familiarity with Wireless Technologies (WiFi, WiMax, GPRS) a plus
• With strong quantitative, problem solving, troubleshooting skills and documentation skills
• Excellent English Communication Skills

Responsibilities

• Develops the product design, reviews design, works with the team on various product requirements, code generation, maintaining schedules, identifies risks and resolves issues
• Implements products from designs set by the Technical Lead, contributes to user requirements documents, converts prototype code into production code, generates use cases, Software Requirements Specification (SRS), software designs & documentation, conducts unit level testing and conducts performance measurement & corrections
• Interacts with Management, the Technical Lead and other team members, Hardware development teams, Test teams among others
• Corrects software incidents found by a variety of testing methods, maintains and updates project/process documentation
• Mentors other software engineers in the team, participates in compliance audits, keeps skills current with new technologies and evaluates and incorporates new development methodologies
• Will develop front end technologies using .Net Framework 3.0 and the Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF)
• Will be working with legacy COM/DCOM/MFC applications developed using C++ and bridging them to front-end .Net Framework Windows applications
