Do you have any thoughts on how to make this conference possible?
Our company is trying to bring David Heinemeier Hansson the inventor of RoR.. here in the Philippines!

Anybody who can share thoughts with this matter?

There are several things that you can do.

1.) Ask the Ruby foundation to help you about this endeavour.

2.) Ask several big companies to help and sponsor your event( MS, Sun, IBM)

3.) Ask the person directly by sending him an invite email.

4.) Ask worlwide group to help you in bringing top notch people to your conference (INETA, Open Source Foundation).

usually yung mga ganitong types ng event eh shinosholder ng big companies specilly if you give them a spot to showcase their products or give them a chance to send their own Tech Evangelist.

well.. baka mahirap na syang makausap unlike si david..
he actually said that he is interested in visiting the phils.. as per my boss ha..
sila kasi ang nag usap eh..
sabi kasi RoR daw will be the next PHP.. asteeg di ba.. kaya yun na encourage na invite dito

Maganda ang RoR dahil mabilis ang Dev Speed because may framework which is Rails.

kayang kaya sabayan ng PHP ang Dev Speed ng RoR kung gagamitan mo rin ito ng Framework like
Zend Framework CodeIgniter Symfony CakePHP.

Ruby is a pure OO Language and PHP 5 is also now a full blown OO Language, para sa mga PHP Developer we just need to learn OO PHP.
