    What's this about? If you're asking about their differnces, what I can say is that OpenGL is just a graphics library. Direct X while being able to support graphics, also support input, sound, etc....

    Not to mention Direct X is basically Windows only (right?)

    As for their common demominator (GFX render) I don't think there's a difference speedwise. The main difference is the way they are designed and called by the coder.
