 is 100k-150k/month enough? YES.

more than enough for a regular filipino family, but then again expenses are subjective. If everyone will stick to the basics and ignore the flashy things in life, 100k is definitely more than enought.

For today, yes, i believe it's more than enough to support a family of five. But in at least five years - that won't be enough. Gotta consider inflation. Isipin niyo ten years ago 25 cents lang isang chocnut, ngayon piso na...

I believe the best and fastest way to earn at least this much is take a risk and start your own company, or trade at the stock market. Although job hopping will seem to be the fastest way to increase your salary to at least 30-40%, there will come a point that the returns wouldn't be as high.

Hi by the way, i'm new here!Big Smile

I have read sa previous statement about gross or net ba ang 150k.

Then maapply mo yun sa microEconomy. nyahahaha.

LaTtEX:

Mula 25,000 pataas, 32% na ang tax. I know this because I had to file my own ITR last year (kaya niyo yun? :P).

Mid-level? Bet 20K and 50K, I think. For .NET ah. Depende din yan sa iyong negotiation and self-selling skillz.

Bakit ako more than 25k pero 23% lang tax? Hmmm..

baka ibig sabihin ni lattex, 32% na ang tax pag in excess of 25k. di ba ang tax, for the first amount na ganito, ganyang % ang tax...then pataas nang pataas.

It's based on annual salary and the multiplier changes from year to year. There is a table on BIR Form 1700 listing out the rates per income bracket.

If your earning 25k/month, then your annual salary would be 25k*13 (twelve month + 13th month pay) --> 325k. For salaries between 250k and 500k, your tax will be 50 + 30% of excess over 250k. That would be 50k + 75k*30%, which becomes 50k + 22.5k, and ends up to be 72.5k. Divide that by 12 and you'll get ~6k/month tax.

Alisin mo na agad yung 10% (or 20% if your really ambitious) of your monthly salary and consider that as non-negotiable savings.
