i remember when i first set up subversion for my own projects and it was pretty messy, installing the service, etc.   all are described in this blog post.  months ago, rodel told me that there is a one click installer for setting up subversion and now that i am setting up my new development pc, i was trying this one click setup.  

although the setup project is pretty messy (it broke when i forgot to untick the accompanying tortoisesvn installer, etc.), it's bearable.
